The Senior Tableau Developer will design and develop multiple solutions within Bionics. This individual will need to have a proven record of delivering technically advanced solutions to support numerous, simultaneous initiatives within Bionics across different disciplines and business lines. The individual should have the ability to quickly understand the existing and future business, application, and infrastructure environments of State Street and should be capable of researching and applying new methods of data analysis and visualizations.
What you will be responsible for
As a Senior Tableau Developer, you will:
- Contribute to the design and development of intricate visualization and analysis projects;
- Figure out the initial visualization requirements, including creating technical workflow diagrams and Tableau wireframes and interactive Proofs-of-Concept (PoC’s);
- Ensure clear and concise expression of design decisions to development, product owner, and business teams;
- Actively ensure minimum delays in system deliverables;
- Furnish subject matter expertise on analysis and visual representations to foster analytical insights;
- Utilize industry best practices and share them with the team;
- Set up and maintain multiple data source connections in Tableau across various data sources including, but not limited to, SQL, Oracle, Hadoop, Tableau Server, BOX.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field plus 8 years of relevant experience;
- 4+ years of proven experience creating solutions using Tableau v2020 or higher, with a minimum of 1 year in the financial services sector;
- Experience with Tableau Server, including server setup and maintenance is a bonus;
- Experience and ability to query and acquire data with SQL in a RDBMS (Oracle) and big data (Hadoop) environment.
