Job Description

As a Lead Decision Scientist at Tesco Bengaluru, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our analytical capabilities and data-driven decision-making processes. Your responsibilities will include:

• Representing Talent Acquisition in various seminars on process, compliance, and audit matters.
• Driving our Continuous Improvement culture by implementing projects and innovative strategies within the team.
• Engaging with business and functional partners to understand priorities, crafting analytical documents that outline the benefits of data science application.
• Building statistical models and machine learning algorithms with strong competency, while promoting the consumption of solutions developed by your team.
• Ensuring effective collaboration and mentoring a team of Applied Data Scientists tasked with delivering high-impact projects.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in applied mathematics and statistics including design of experiments, regression, and forecasting.
• Proficiency in technologies such as SQL, Hadoop, Spark, Python, Tableau, and familiarity with GitHub and other collaboration tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with effective stakeholder engagement experiences.
• Experience leading teams and driving significant business outcomes through data science initiatives.
