Position Summary

Caremark LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the role of Lead Decision Scientist. In this pivotal position, you'll develop quantitative techniques and models to support analytics initiatives designed to maximize financial impact and business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement price optimization solutions in collaboration with teams from Finance, Engineering, Data, IT, and other analytics teams.
  • Enable data-driven strategic decision-making and identify opportunities for improving existing analytics solutions.
  • Develop roadmaps and project plans to convey progress and issues to senior leadership.
  • Create business cases to estimate costs and benefits, guiding prioritization decisions.
  • Support the development and deployment of machine learning models and optimization algorithms.
  • Collaborate with key internal and external partners to gather and analyze needs and requirements.
  • Assess existing data, identify gaps, and work with the Data Strategy team, IT, business partners, and outside vendors to close those gaps.
  • Coordinate projects and activities across multiple teams in a matrix organization.
  • Conduct analyses of data using statistical modeling approaches, including regression modeling, time-series analyses, and machine learning techniques like random forests and ensemble models.
  • Design and implement analytic and reporting solutions based on identified needs.
  • Deliver written reports, including visualizations, and present results to non-analytic audiences.
  • Apply creativity in developing analytic solutions and represent findings effectively in various formats.

Requirements

Education: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Analytics, Analytics, Management Information Systems, Engineering Management, or a related field.

Experience: Two (2) years in data analytics for healthcare or business services, analyzing large data sets, SQL programming, and using relational data warehouse technologies such as Oracle, Teradata, or DB2, and data visualization tools like PowerBI and Tableau. Also, experience in R or Python is required.

Compensation

Pay Range: $120,750/year to $240,000/year. The actual salary offer will depend on experience, education, geography, and other factors.
