Job Description

Role Summary

We're looking for a Lead Developer to join our UK&I Ingestion programme within the UK&I Data Office. This strategic initiative aims to modernize our data ingestion processes through cloud-based technologies, streamline the UK&I technology landscape, and enhance data onboarding speed. Your contributions will drive revenue for our EDQ business and streamline data processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement cloud-based data ingestion pipelines using AWS technologies.
  • Standardize and optimize the UK&I technology estate for improved efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and technological advancement.
  • Apply your expertise in Terraform, AWS Core (EC2, S3, EKS, Lambda), AWS Logging (Cloudwatch, Cloudtrail), AWS MWAA, and CI/CD Pipelines.
  • Ensure robust and secure integration of web services using RESTful, gRPC, or GraphQL frameworks.
  • Bring your knowledge of C#, Python, Scala, .Net, Spring Boot, and Hibernate to the table.
  • Lead technical teams effectively and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency in Terraform (basic to intermediate).
  • Intermediate expertise in AWS Core technologies (EC2, S3, EKS, Lambda).
  • Basic knowledge of AWS Logging (Cloudwatch, Cloudtrail).
  • Intermediate skills in AWS MWAA and CI/CD Pipeline development (Harness preferred).
  • Expertise in the full development lifecycle, AWS tracking, and optimization.
  • Experience with ETL processes, business modeling, design patterns, security best practices, and performance tuning.
  • Ability to lead matrixed technical teams with a high energy, positive, and collaborative approach.
