Position Summary

The Lead Director, Data Engineering, will provide technical leadership to Data Engineers and Engineering Managers. This role involves designing robust data architectures and ensuring efficient data processing and analytics that support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute scalable data architectures and infrastructures.
• Develop, maintain, and oversee data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Implement data integration, cleansing, and loading into warehouses or lakes.
• Ensure timely delivery of data for analytics and business intelligence.
• Develop standards and guidelines for data engineering best practices.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends relevant to data engineering.
• Build productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and partners.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members.

Required Qualifications

• Over 10 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a people management role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven leader in engineering with hands-on capability with Python & SQL.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and healthcare data.
• Expertise in managing other managers and principal-level engineers.
• Exceptional execution, delivery, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Education

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Salary and Benefits
