Job Description

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8 years of confirmed experience in software development and system maintenance.
  • Highly skilled and knowledgeable in the following technologies: Python 2/3, Linux, AWS, OLTP and OLAP databases, any Data Warehouse
  • Aptitude for learning and adjusting to constantly evolving technology.
  • Evidenced experience with N-tiered applications and multi-tier architecture.
  • Proficiency in developing simple yet elegant systems using best practices and design patterns.
  • Experience with multithreading, memory management, networking, I/O concepts, and performance considerations of common classes and algorithms.
  • Expertise in RDBMS based on MPP/Cluster, Jupyter, Docker, Kubernetes, Spark, Git, CI/CD.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake (DBaaS), Greenplum is a plus.
  • Adept at team leadership, interfacing with business partners or clients, and steering project direction.
  • Excellent comprehension of object-oriented design concepts and software development processes and methods.
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to identify priorities and keep a team focused on the most important features.
  • A passion for development and cutting-edge technologies
  • Leadership skills and the ability to guide design and technical meetings
  • Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • .NET and Angular experience is preferred
  • Experience with Tableau/Tableau server is preferred

Qualifications

  • Responsible for leading application development supporting business objectives and showing independence in software development lifecycle stages from concept and design to testing.
  • Lead new and existing applications along with enhancements to applications and infrastructure.
  • Conduct hands-on coding while designing and architecting data processing and analytics solutions.
  • Act as a mediator to internal customers, research groups, and various business support areas.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior programmers and other software engineers.
  • Capability to troubleshoot and maintain mid-level to complex applications.
  • Fulfill all responsibilities as outlined in the annual Performance Plan.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Mus be capable of performing duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
