About the Role:

S&P Global Market Intelligence is seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer. This critical position involves designing and developing large-scale systems to handle massive data transfers and perform complex calculations based on business requirements. Ideal candidates will possess strong analytical, design, and development expertise. You must be a motivated quick learner, proficient in new technologies, capable of working collaboratively or independently, and keen to work with global team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop applications, components, and common services using development models, languages, and tools, including unit testing, performance testing, and monitoring.
• Serve as a hands-on problem solver and developer to extend and manage data platforms.
• Specialize in designs focused on data loading, pipelines, distribution, management, and integration technologies.
• Support business and technology teams to ensure scalable and robust solutions.
• Build data-intensive applications and services that enhance financial processes.
• Possess strong knowledge of AWS for data modeling, performance tuning, and applying data architecture concepts.
• Provide proactive operational support to resolve issues swiftly.
• Manage time and multiple tasks efficiently.
• Communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with business and technical teams.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• 8+ years of development experience in SQL Server, T-SQL, .Net, and No-SQL technologies.
• 5+ years of experience in C# and ASP.NET development.
• 2+ years of experience in Big Data technologies.
• Hands-on experience with scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT concepts.
• Proficiency in database performance tuning in SQL Server.
• Strong knowledge in T-SQL.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within specific timeframes.
• Excellent logical, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience in the financial industry is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in database systems (MS SQL, MySQL), object-oriented programming, scripting (Bash, Python), programming languages (C#, .Net), and No-SQL (Spark, Scala).
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud resources.
