Team & Role Overview

You will be among the pioneers within the Rewards ML/AI team, dedicated to creating a groundbreaking mobile experience that pushes the frontiers of health and wellness. By applying the latest AI advancements, you will address real-world health problems and refine your knowledge of the US health system’s complexities. This is a unique opportunity to create tools that actively engage patients and significantly boost their health outcomes. We are based in the San Francisco Bay Area and Seattle Metro Area, and while this role is open to remote candidates, preference will be given to those located in these regions.

Your Impact

As a Lead Software Engineer on our dynamic team, your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ideate, develop, and introduce AI-driven enhancements for our mobile applications.
• Designing and implementing robust backend systems and APIs to support AI functionalities, ensuring scalability, high performance, and security.
• Optimizing AI algorithms and models to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall safety.
• Integrating machine learning models into our backend infrastructure to fuel intelligent decision-making and personalized consumer interactions.
• Conducting comprehensive tests and performance tuning to maintain system integrity and effectiveness.
• Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and technology advancements, assessing their implications for our product strategies.
• Mentoring junior engineers and cultivating an environment of innovation and continuous learning.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• At least 6 years of software engineering experience, with a focus on backend development, AI technology implementations and testing.
• Deep expertise in modern programming languages and cloud platforms.
• Proven leadership in managing significant projects and guiding junior team members.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to transform business needs into technological innovation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge in machine learning frameworks and operational technologies.
• Experience in the mobile app industry, with insights into consumer interaction and behavior.
• Contributions to the tech community, whether through open-source projects or industry forums.
