Job Responsibilities

• Develop creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting that transcend conventional approaches to solve technical problems.
• Produce secure and high-quality production code and review and debug code written by your peers.
• Identify and implement opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues, thereby enhancing the overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to probe architectural designs and technical credentials to ensure applicability within existing systems and information architecture.
• Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive the adoption of new and leading-edge technologies.
• Promote a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect within the team.
• Apply hands-on experience in building test automation solutions, including data processing and validation of end-to-end functional test cases.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, and testing.
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java or Python, with a focus on SDET experience with Java.
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Proven expertise in software applications and technical processes within a specialized discipline (e.g., cloud, AI, machine learning, mobile).
• In-depth knowledge of IT systems in the financial services industry.
• Practical cloud-native experience.
• Demonstrated experience in Python or Java-based system development.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies like React.js.
• Familiarity with backend technologies like Spring Boot and Java.
• Exposure to cloud technologies.
• Exposure to artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) is a plus.
