Job Responsibilities

As a core technical contributor, you will:

  • Execute innovative software solutions, from design and development to troubleshooting, thinking beyond the conventional to solve complex technical problems.
  • Identify and automate recurring issues to enhance the overall operational stability of our software applications and systems.
  • Generate data analytics for data scientists to innovate and optimize our ecosystem by assembling large and complex data sets that meet both functional and non-functional business requirements.
  • Oversee data ingestion into our data lake and provide frameworks for operating on this data, utilizing technologies like Spark, SQL, and AWS.
  • Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive probing of architectural designs and technical credentials, ensuring applicability within existing systems.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and knowledge sharing across Software Engineering, advocating for the adoption of new and advanced technologies.
  • Promote a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with over 5 years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and maintaining operational stability.
  • Proficiency in designing and building data extraction, transformation, and loading processes using custom data pipelines.
  • Experience in implementing data pipelines, preferably with Hadoop or Spark, using Java or Python.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, EMR, EKS, Redshift, Glue, Athena, and Aurora.
  • Exceptional coding and design skills in Java, Python, and PYSPARK.
  • Demonstrated expertise in various technical disciplines such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and mobile applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT systems within the financial services industry.
  • Practical experience with cloud-native technologies.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience with SQL, ETL concepts, Java, PYSARK, and AWS implementations.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.
  • Holds AWS/Cloud certifications.
