About the Role

As a Lead DevOps Engineer in our Site Reliability team within Bank Tech, you will:

• Lead a diverse portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers skilled in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full-stack systems to meet regulatory needs.
• Stay updated on tech trends, experiment with new technologies, participate in tech communities, and mentor other engineering team members.
• Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions to empower millions of Americans financially.
• Use programming languages like Java, Python, SQL, Ruby, and Go, and tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, and various AWS services.
• Work with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across full-stack development tools and technologies.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• At least 6 years of experience in DevOps Engineering
• At least 3 years of experience in Cloud Native technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
• At least 4 years of Unix or Linux system administration experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 7+ years of DevOps Engineering experience
• 5+ years as a Site Reliability Engineer
• Expertise in coding and scripting languages (Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Golang, Bash, Perl, Ruby)
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (Jenkins, GitLab, Spinnaker)
• Technical leadership experience in strategic projects
• Experience deploying Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloud Formation)
• Database server infrastructure experience (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, MySQL, Postgres)
• Container orchestration services experience (ECS, Kubernetes)
• Experience with testing software (Jmeter, Mockito, JUnit)
• Experience with distributed database systems (Cassandra, ElasticSearch)
• Experience deploying clustered web services
• Experience within Agile Development Practices

Salary and Benefits

Capital One offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, financial, and other benefits to support your well-being. Salaries for this role are as follows:

• New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $201,400 - $229,900

This role may also include performance-based incentives such as cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI). Eligibility varies based on full or part-time status, exempt or non-exempt status, and management level.
