The Role

As a Localization Software Engineer at Lucid Motors, you'll be instrumental in driving the development of our Autonomous Driving (AD) systems:

  • Develop and fine-tune Advanced AD features from conception through to launch.
  • Enhance perception software, sensor fusion, and localization, contributing to the motion planning, control, and software architecture.
  • Implement innovative software solutions to elevate the performance of ADAS/AD systems, delivering premium user experiences.
  • Engage in rapid prototyping to quickly validate and refine system concepts.
  • Analyze industry trends and collaborate closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams to integrate and deploy sophisticated AD products effectively.

What We’re Looking For

Ideal candidates should possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • At least 12 years of experience in software development within the automotive AD domain, including a strong background in releasing AD features into production.
  • Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and/or Python.
  • Demonstrated ability in leading AD software development, creating technical roadmaps, and successfully integrating these plans into production.
  • Excellent communication skills with a knack for innovative problem-solving within dynamic startup environments.

Preferred Qualifications

A Master's degree or Ph.D. in a related field with:

  • Experience with ROS, real-time sensors for AD, HD map integration, and Agile development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards in the automotive industry such as ASPICE, ISO 26262, and ASIL D.
