Position Overview:

We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and dynamic professional to join our team as a Data Management EBS-Wheat Specialist. This position is essential in support of the Global Wheat Program at CIMMYT, headquartered in Texcoco, near Mexico City, Mexico.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical and data management for EBS implementation across bread and durum wheat breeding groups.
• Coordinate with the EBS-Data Management Team for effective EBS implementation plans and timelines.
• Provide technical support in testing new EBS functionalities and ensure quality control.
• Help implement the IT roadmap for wheat breeding.
• Organize training sessions for staff, manage coordination within the team, and enhance EBS feature usability based on user feedback.
• Develop high-quality EBS user resources in Spanish to meet the needs of the Global Wheat Program.
• Assist in the organization and management of breeding data.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of wheat breeding operations and EBS functionalities.
• Familiarity with IWIS and Excel macros, supporting a smooth transition to EBS platforms.
• Strong communication skills in Spanish and English.
• Exceptional interpersonal abilities including teamwork, attention to detail, critical thinking, and innovation.
