As a Machine Learning AI Development Manager for the AEC Solutions group, you will lead a team focused on building foundational models and machine learning tools for the AEC industry. You will guide your team to collaborate across organizations to develop the latest AI models and tools, while ensuring privacy and security standards are upheld to safeguard customer data.
Reporting To
You will report to the Senior AI/ML Development Manager within the AEC Solutions Team.
Location
We support hybrid work, and this role is based near our offices in Toronto, Canada or Boston, MA.
Responsibilities
- Work with your team to understand requirements, evaluate new features, and build technology roadmaps.
- Recruit and build a new team from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
- Develop partnerships with technical leads and stakeholders to implement innovative solutions.
- Foster an inclusive culture, mentor team members, and provide tools for achieving goals.
- Promote a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence.
- Stay updated with the latest AI trends to enhance team performance and product quality.
- Create tactical execution plans and ensure adherence to budgets, schedules, and performance expectations.
- Educate Autodesk leaders on best AI practices.
- Create automated processes for gathering and processing large batches of geometry, physics, and design workflow data.
Minimum Qualifications
- MS in Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of managerial experience.
- Experience building an innovative and creative team culture.
- Ability to break down large projects into clear, incremental milestones.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across many organizations.
- Experience with Scrum and Agile development processes and methodologies.
Other Qualifications
- Experience in the AEC industry, Autodesk products such as Revit, and AEC data schemas and standards.
- Experience training deep neural networks, like CNN and transformers, and proficiency in deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Strong fundamentals in 3D geometry and geometric computer vision.
- Exposure to Cloud Computing in AWS and using the SageMaker Studio platform.
