The Tripadvisor Machine Learning Team is seeking a talented leader to guide us in creating advanced AI systems that deepen our understanding of both travelers and products, ultimately enhancing customer experiences. As part of our dynamic team, you will lead projects that utilize cutting-edge technology in Artificial Intelligence, focusing on content improvement through AI Review Summaries, Collections, Auto-Tagging, Knowledge Graphs, topic classification, and machine translation. Role Location

This full-time remote position is open across Portugal. Candidates should have the legal right to work in Portugal and be willing to relocate if currently residing abroad.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with senior engineers to design, implement, and roll out machine learning models and systems.
• Engage in all phases of the machine learning development lifecycle, including data handling, preprocessing, model evaluation, and deployment.
• Interact with cross-functional teams to grasp business needs and deliver machine learning solutions.
• Enhance existing machine learning pipelines and infrastructure.
• Stay abreast of the latest in machine learning technology and share insights with the team.

• An experienced machine learning engineer skilled in model development and deployment.
• Proficient with machine learning algorithms and frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• A problem-solver with keen attention to detail.

• Effective at communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficient in Python with expertise in machine learning libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Jax.
• Adept in various machine learning techniques and proficient in data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
• Familiar with software development practices, version control systems, and collaborative coding workflows.
