Burro was established to tackle labor shortages in farming through the use of robotics. Burros can be likened to a real-life version of Disney's Wall-E for agriculture, working outdoors in their first generation. They currently serve as computer vision based autonomous ground vehicles for carrying, towing, and scouting. They are designed to pave the way for a fully autonomous future of outdoor work. We have an expanding fleet in the triple digits, deployed in commercial use in vineyards, nurseries, berry farms, and more. With demand for our product increasing, we are looking to expand our team. We are searching for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to bring their skills and knowledge to our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong competence in machine learning and hands-on experience with MLOps tools. Responsibilities include leading ML projects from ideation to deployment, optimizing existing algorithms, overseeing data collection and preprocessing, and implementing model validation and testing procedures. The ideal candidate should have a Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field, proficiency in Python and common machine learning libraries, and a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in machine learning. Nice-to-haves include experience with WandB and understanding of robotic systems.
