About the Team

At Zillow, our AI and machine learning initiatives aim to make home buying and selling a seamless experience. The LLM Platform team develops platform services for LLMs and multimodal models tailored to real estate scenarios. Utilizing advanced AI, our goal is to provide speed, certainty, and ease for every home transaction.

Role Overview

As a Machine Learning Engineer on the LLM Platform team, you will:

• Develop scalable infrastructure for Generative AI applications, from experimentation to production.
• Create platform solutions for Prompt Engineering, Retrieval Augmented Generation, and fine-tuning LLMs.
• Work with the AI Platform, Human In the Loop Platform, and Data platform teams to build a comprehensive ecosystem for Generative AI applications.
• Collaborate with Applied Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, and cross-functional teams to implement technical visions.
• Stay updated on Generative AI platform and tool trends to drive innovation at Zillow.

This is a remote position, and you can work from anywhere in the United States.

Compensation

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, and Washington, the base pay range for this role is $140,100.00 - $223,900.00 annually. Additional equity awards are available based on experience, performance, and location.

Who You Are

Ideal candidates will have:

• A BS or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field; a Master's in Computer Science is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience with Machine Learning products.
• 1+ years of experience with platform solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for cross-organizational collaboration.

Nice to haves:

• Passion for Generative AI platforms and products.
• Experience developing scalable software systems for millions of users with production-quality deployment.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Proficiency in Machine Learning Frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Keras, TensorFlow).
