Join Meta as a Machine Learning SoC Architect

Meta is on the lookout for a seasoned Machine Learning SoC Architect to be a part of our dynamic silicon team within the Infrastructure organization. This team is pivotal in designing and managing the hardware accelerators for our Data Center servers, focusing on enhancing performance and reducing energy consumption for our global services including Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp.

Key Responsibilities

As a Machine Learning SoC Architect at Meta, you will:

• Analyze algorithms and perform architecture definition for next-gen Machine Learning ASICs.
• Map Data Center workloads to ASICs featuring diverse programmable processors and accelerators.
• Optimize trade-offs between performance, area, and power.
• Define architecture for various ASIC subsystems and multi-die SoCs.
• Conduct performance analyses using benchmarks on simulation and emulation platforms.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the ASIC design meets all performance and development efficiency goals.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of computer architecture and 20+ years of experience in high-performance ASICs delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

Strongly preferred candidates will have:

• An advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Expertise in digital signal processing, ML networks, and programming in C/C++.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $212,000 to $291,000 per year, plus bonuses, equity, and other benefits. Salary is commensurate with experience, skills, and location.
