What You'll Be Doing

You'll be joining CIBC’s Fusion Team to support the buildout of its Data Governance and Data Management Program. The Manager, Data Governance Program will report to the Director, Fusion Compliance and Data Governance and support the execution of Data Governance and Data Management practices within Fusion Technology Assets. You will maintain oversight for implementing Enterprise Data Policies, Data Management Standards, and Procedures within Fusion.

How You'll Succeed:

Data Governance

Coordinate delivery of Data Governance policy requirements, including familiarity with data quality rules, data lineage, and data adjustments. Monitor data quality reporting in alignment with enterprise standards and collate identified issues for escalation. Understand and manage documentation for changes to critical data elements (e.g., addition, subtraction, or modifications to data elements, terms, or definitions). Monitor the development, review, and update of Business Glossaries and Data Dictionaries.

Data Management

Maintain up-to-date Data Sharing Agreements, including Data Custody Agreements and Data Sharing Risk Assessments. Support the identification of Critical Data Elements and maintenance of up-to-date data assets inventory in alignment with Enterprise standards. Understand Fusion and Enterprise Data Governance controls, including design and implementation, periodic reviews, and approvals.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Build collaborative relationships with Fusion Data Owners, Data Stewards, Data Custodians, and other Data Governance role holders. Collaborate with a wide range of Fusion partners across the Enterprise, including Data & Records Management Office and Financial Crime Technology, to continuously improve data management initiatives.

Who You Are:

You demonstrate experience in Data Governance and Data Management, preferably within a large Financial Institution. It’s an asset if you have banking experience in Fraud, Information Security, Fusion, or AML areas. Your experience in these domains would be valuable given the uniqueness of the taxonomy.

You are a bold and accountable performer, adept at implementing Data Governance Programs and influencing stakeholders for better outcomes. You manage competing priorities effectively.
