Why This Role Is Important to Arcadia

As the Manager, Data Integration, you will join our dynamic data engineering team in a leading healthcare data and analytics software company. Reporting to the Director of Data Integration, you will lead a team of 3-8 data engineers focused on implementing and supporting Arcadia’s claims connectors.

Recognizing the importance of agility and scalability, our connector team leverages cutting-edge big data technologies to provide our customers with high-quality data at very low latency. We are a collaborative team of technical enthusiasts and operational problem solvers who tackle some of the most challenging problems in healthcare.

Your Role and Responsibilities

What Success Looks Like

In 3 months:

  • Understand Arcadia connector technology thoroughly
  • Become familiar with standard operating procedures
  • Build credibility with key stakeholders
  • Oversee the daily work of team members

In 6 months:

  • Independently manage the team’s day-to-day work
  • Actively contribute to methodology and process improvements
  • Earn recognition from key stakeholders as dedicated and self-motivated
  • Build relationships with customer stakeholders

In 12 months:

  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives
  • Become an expert in connector domains
  • Engage consultatively with customer stakeholders

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee the building, testing, and deployment of high-quality connectors and ingestion pipelines
  • Engage in sprint planning, product grooming, and Jira task management
  • Contribute to the company’s data integration strategy
  • Act as a subject matter expert for claims data and implementation
  • Provide hands-on support for customer connector work and assist with troubleshooting
  • Develop and implement policies to achieve team and company objectives
  • Evaluate team performance and develop strategies to improve delivery timeliness and quality
  • Oversee team responsibilities, including performance evaluations, recruitment, and training

Qualifications and Experience

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, science, technology, or healthcare
  • 10+ years of experience in technology or data & analytics with a healthcare focus
  • Experience as a technical advisor working directly with customers
  • Extensive coding experience in SQL/Spark/Scala
  • Strong spirit of innovation and continuous improvement
  • Independent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence
  • Positive attitude and adaptability to a fast-paced environment
  • Proven leadership in achieving challenging objectives
  • Technical experience with NoSQL databases, cloud architecture, Java, Python, Kafka, Nifi, and AWS
