A Day in the Life

As the Manager – Data Operations, you will:

  • Oversee data pipelines and workflows supporting BI, analytics, and software products.
  • Act as the technical manager for a team of Data Engineers.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, software developers, and SMEs to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership to ensure seamless development of data pipelines and automated workflows.
  • Foster collaboration and partnerships to co-develop products and share valuable insights.
  • Highlight potential risks and opportunities using predictive information.

Main Responsibilities

The Manager – Data Operations is responsible for:

Technical Leadership

  • Overseeing the health and development of data engineering pipelines and software.
  • Designing and implementing data engineering pipelines.
  • Participating in peer reviews and QA processes.

Innovative Infrastructure & Problem Solving

  • Supporting the onboarding of new data sources and event streams.
  • Developing cost-saving process improvements for data integration.

Vendor Management

  • Managing vendors to control costs, reduce risks, and ensure excellent service delivery.

Teamwork & Communication

  • Building and developing powerful teams.
  • Communicating effectively with different levels of leadership.
  • Providing timely updates on incident progress.
  • Writing and reviewing high-quality technical documentation.

Control & Audit

  • Tracking compliance regulations around user access and management.
  • Ensuring workstations adhere to organization standards.

Continuous Improvement

  • Promoting a culture of best practice sharing.
  • Striving to improve service and change mindsets.

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience with data ETL processes using Informatica technologies.
  • At least 4+ years of experience in MDM projects focused on Informatica MDM multi-domain implementation.
  • Administrator experience with ETL & MDM tools such as Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica MDM, IDQ.
  • Experience in Teradata BTEQ, Teradata utilities (fast load, multiload), Data Analysis, and Reverse engineering.
  • Proficiency in Python, Redshift, Data Bricks, and Unix/Linux Scripting.
  • Preferred CRM experience like Salesforce.
  • Preferred MFT experience in CLEO/IBM Sterling.
  • Experience in data profiling, cleansing, and standardization strategies.
  • Maintaining an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) in support of BI analytics.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery and scrum methodology.
  • Experience with scalable event streams (Kinesis/Kafka) or AWS streaming data pipelines preferred.
  • Leading a team supporting data integration or engineering in a complex enterprise environment for 10+ years.
  • Ability to lead remote distributed teams with 24/7 onshore/offshore coverage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a starting salary between $115,000 to $130,000 along with annual bonuses and profit-sharing eligibility. Additional benefits include:
