Job Description
Join NBCUniversal's Data Operations team as the Manager of Data Operations & Audience Analytics. We are seeking proactive and resourceful professionals eager to support innovation within our Ad Platforms and Operations One-Platform group. One-Platform encompasses all NBCU’s data-driven, advanced advertising products, including linear, addressable, OTT, and digital channel advertising.
As part of our inclusive culture, you will support the Director of the Advanced Data Operations team and integrate digital and convergent data tactics to enhance the operational efficiency of audience-targeted ad products. Additionally, you will streamline communication and workflow optimization between internal teams and data vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze datasets using programming skills to build target audiences, provide insights on audience data and platform usage, and support data products with custom outputs.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure the delivery and availability of audience targets for targeted campaigns across digital, addressable, and linear platforms.
- Partner with digital leads in the Ad Sales group to offer data operations guidance, develop operational workflows for convergent projects, and aid in troubleshooting.
- Utilize analytic tools and databases to identify metrics, trends, and insights positioning NBCUniversal ad products and services to clients effectively.
- Manage vendor relationships to leverage their platforms and data for offline and online data convergence.
- Provide project management and tracking support to enhance audience-targeted campaign operations, new product implementation, and troubleshooting processes.
- Create reports and dashboards to support internal teams with data insights.
- Evaluate data vendors’ contributions to campaign fulfillment and data products to ensure efficient audience data sourcing.
- Collaborate with Engineering and IT teams to optimize the implementation of new data products and document new use cases, enhancements, and bugs.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and trends in TV and digital media to build a thorough understanding of the media and advertising ecosystem.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of professional experience in media, digital advertising, technology, or financial services.
- Experience with programming languages such as SQL, Python, Scala, Databricks, Spark, and cleanroom environments.
- Experience in digital campaign management, analytics, research, ad ops, or TV and addressable advertising is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with DMPs/CDPs and FreeWheel MRM.
- Understanding of traditional TV measurement (Nielsen) and digital media mathematics.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to take ownership of problems, document business requirements, manage timelines, and drive projects to completion.
- Excellent customer service orientation for internal and external customers.
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit and intellectual curiosity.
- Familiarity with online and offline data sources and linkages.
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
