As a Data Engineering Manager with an agile mindset, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and delivery of large-scale, critical, and complex data architecture, storage, and pipelines. You will build enterprise distributed data processing systems and data lakes, optimizing both computational and storage efficiencies on cloud platforms.

You have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field
You have 12+ years of experience with agile software development while ensuring disciplined engineering practices are followed with a relentless focus on quality, test driven development, controlled and automated build and releases, code management etc.
You have experience working on a cloud platform like Microsoft Azure Cloud or AWS or GCS (AWS Preferred)
You have led a team of 5+ members to deliver high-quality data products.
Engineering:
You have strong experience in various data systems and structures (i.e., SQL, NoSQL, Key-Value, Streams); your expertise includes building ETL data pipelines using Python and Pyspark and orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, Luigi, etc.
You're thoughtful in your approach to ensuring software engineering best practices are established, understood, and adopted by the teams you lead. You have hands-on experience building automated deployments using tools like Harness and leading technology strategy and architecture to enable a future-ready, high-quality, and responsive code base.
You understand the importance of implementing end-to-end monitoring & alerting solutions, and utilization of data processing technologies (i.e., Hadoop, Apache Spark, AWS Glue, and Kafka)
You have proven experience building software solutions in the and have fluency in Python
Cloud Platform:
You have a strong background in Cloud Data Platforms using any one of the leading cloud platforms -AWS/Azure/GCP.
You can implement cloud-based solutions using technologies such as modern distributed systems design patterns, microservices, streaming platforms, and container orchestration systems (Docker, Swarm, Kubernetes).
You have advanced knowledge of technical and functional designs for SQL, databases, ETL, data pipelines, data warehousing, data lakes, and data modeling.
Southern California Base Salary Range: $158,620-$253,792
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
