We are searching for a visionary technology leader with strong client engagement skills to head our Studio Operations within one of the world's preeminent FinTech companies, BlackRock. This critical position in our Aladdin Studio team will spearhead the management of high-quality data at scale and drive unprecedented innovation in our Enterprise Data Platform.

About This Role

As the Global Head of Data Operations, you will have the opportunity to set and execute a strategic vision, fostering a high-automated and engineering-driven environment. Your primary responsibilities will include the leadership of our Global Studio Data Operations and Developer Operations functions. An aptitude for technology and strong client-facing capabilities are essential, as this role involves extensive interaction with both prospective and existing clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the strategic vision for both Global Data Operations and Developer Operations.
• Recruit, manage, and nurture a globally dispersed yet highly efficient team comprising data ops specialists, developer ops professionals, and data engineers.
• Ensure on-time, high-quality data delivery and streamline data pipelines for optimal observability and support.
• Maintain direct, hands-on engagement with clients, acting as a specialist in the Studio platform and its data-centric capabilities.
• Collaborate across functions to improve data quality, automate processes, and onboard new datasets.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and innovation within your teams.
• Advocate for modern data operations and development practices, influencing senior stakeholders and adapting to evolving data requirements.
• Uphold stringent governance, risk management, and compliance standards across all data operations.

Desired Skills and Experience

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 15 years of experience in data ops and developer ops, with a proven ability to oversee large-scale operations.
• Expertise in data orchestration (Airflow), data ingestion, cloud databases (Snowflake), and BI tools.
• Exceptional leadership abilities with a talent for mentoring and developing diverse teams.
• Financial services background is advantageous but not mandatory.
