About the Role

As a Market Data Strategy Vice President under the guidance of our Market Data Strategy Director, you will be pivotal in sourcing and selecting optimum information services supporting high-stakes Investment Banking deals and strategic initiatives. Your expertise will also involve acting as a consultant to Investment Banking management, recommending pioneering data sources, and identifying cost-saving measures and transitions to more efficient platforms.

Core Responsibilities

  • Explore the depths of market data landscapes to pinpoint and integrate superb market data solutions.
  • Lead and negotiate terms with market data vendors, ensuring access to a premier suite of data products while collaborating with a varied team that includes bankers, researchers, and technology experts.
  • Stay proactive about emergent data products that can offer a competitive edge.
  • Offer in-depth advice on market data products to upgrade business operations and support team efficiency.
  • Drive initiatives on cost-saving strategies and new, cost-effective data sources aligned with companywide data initiatives.
  • Develop and manage key performance indicators and expense management dashboards to align with the business management agenda.
  • Maintain solid relationships with vendors and industry leaders to stay abreast of technological advancements and opportunities.
  • Handle vendor-related issues as the primary point of contact.
  • Design and oversee product trials to ensure effective outcome analysis and documentation.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Over 5 years of experience with research and market data tools such as Factset, S&P Capital IQ and similar platforms.
  • Proven experience in market data vendor management and adeptness in contract negotiations.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree, ideally in Library & Information Science or Business.
  • Exceptional communication skills capable of simplifying complex concepts for various audiences.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and independent project management capabilities.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven approach is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management prowess.
  • Intermediate skills in Excel and familiarity with market data inventory systems.
  • Deep domain knowledge in Investment Banking and experience in designing QlikSense dashboards.
