Join Our Team as a Senior Software Engineer

State Street is excited to seek a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will significantly influence the quality and reliability of our software products, focusing on developing T-SQL and MSBI-based applications and data warehouses.

Role Summary & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Design and create tables, views, triggers, partitions, complex stored procedures, functions, indexes, and other database objects.
  • Import, export data, bulk insert, BCP, and handle performance tuning, profiling, and monitoring of SQL.
  • Design and create SSIS packages to migrate data from multiple sources to various destinations and data warehouses.
  • Design complex reports in SSRS, handle DML operations, and manage report deployments.
  • Communicate effectively with business users to understand and analyze requirements and use cases.
  • Showcase proven problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Work effectively in both independent and team environments.

Core Skills

  • Strong experience with complex stored procedures, functions, indexes, dynamic SQL, and performance tuning.
  • Extensive experience creating complex SSIS packages with data flow tasks and complex transformations.
  • Proficiency in creating complex parameter-driven reports in SSRS.
  • Experience with the onshore-offshore delivery model and Agile methodology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in shell scripting and Autosys scheduling.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts.

Work Schedule

The role offers flexibility with on-premise or hybrid working arrangements.
