Role Overview:

Keystone Solutions is actively searching for a seasoned Microsoft Power BI expert to join our consultancy team. In this role, you will be pivotal in implementing a robust Power BI governance framework for our esteemed client, ensuring effective integration, scalability, and security. This role offers the convenience of partial remote work with mandatory weekly meetings in Brussels.

Key Responsibilities:

Architectural Design Review:

• Assess and refine the architectural blueprint for Power BI governance to align with both business and technical prerequisites of the client.

Environment Setup:

• Organize and manage various environments such as DEV, QA, VAL, and PROD.
• Configure Power BI Service workspaces with systematic naming conventions and stringent access controls.

Data Integration:

• Facilitate connectivity to key data sources including Azure SQL Database, SQL Server, and SAP BW.
• Establish secure data transfer protocols through data gateways.

Governance Framework Implementation:

• Define clear roles (e.g., Report Consumer, Report Builder) and implement stringent access controls like RBAC and RLS.
• Develop policies to maintain high standards of data quality, security, and accessibility.

Development and Deployment Processes:

• Employ a DevOps framework to support iterative development, and utilize Power BI Service deployment pipelines for content delivery.
• Integrate with Azure Devogs for enhanced version control and backups.

Monitoring and Alerting:

• Implement monitoring tools to oversee user activity and system health.
• Set up alerts to maintain performance and operational standards.

Training and Documentation:

• Conduct comprehensive training sessions tailored to different user roles within the organization.
• Develop detailed documentation that encompasses all operational procedures and best practices.
