Hitachi Energy is seeking a dedicated Microsoft Power BI Developer to join our team in Jefferson City, MO. This role focuses on developing and supporting Microsoft Power Application and Power BI solutions within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in evaluating, designing, implementing, and supporting business reporting solutions vital for managing operations and identifying operational challenges across various business domains.

Your Responsibilities

Data Retrieval and Analysis:

• Gather and organize data from multiple sources, including ERP systems like IFS or SAP, production databases, and other relevant platforms.
• Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Create complex dimensional data models and reports from scratch.

Report/Dashboard Design and Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.
• Work alongside cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements and transform them into effective visualizations.
• Create dynamic and user-friendly reports to provide actionable insights for manufacturing operations.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Collaborate with senior management, manufacturing teams, and IT departments to align on data initiatives.
• Present findings and provide clear explanations of complex data insights to stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify areas for enhancement in data collection, reporting processes, and data quality proactively.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in business intelligence and manufacturing analytics.

Training End-Users:

• Develop and deliver end-user training and provide ongoing support.

Your Background

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on development experience with Microsoft Power Applications, with a minimum of 2 years dedicated to developing Power BI solutions.
• 3+ years of experience in creating and maintaining data models used in Power BI solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in developing Power BI Solutions.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodology and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Agile, SQL, SAP, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Reporting is desired.
• Microsoft certifications such as Power BI Fundamentals and Power BI Data Analyst Associate are highly valued.
• Valid work authorization to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
• Detail-oriented and the ability to work independently.
