Job Description

We are actively seeking a motivated and skilled (Mid Level) Data Engineer (all genders) to be part of our Logistics Rider Data Engineering team. In this role, you will help us develop state-of-the-art data pipelines, leading us toward continual innovation within Delivery Hero's data landscape.

The Logistics Data Engineering team spearheads the advancement of our data landscape, continuously refining our pipelines to enable faster decision-making that directly influences business outcomes. This team leverages a broad tech stack, providing both a challenging and unique learning environment. You will impact the key pillars of our logistics operations: Rider, Customer, and Service, with a focus on bringing real-time data to each. Our commitment is to create scalable frameworks that empower other teams.

Your Responsibilities:

• Own and enhance the data ingestion framework to streamline data movement.
• Develop analytical frameworks to boost the efficiency of Analytics.
• Build data ingestion pipelines that directly impact critical business KPIs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable implementations.
• Proactively seek opportunities to improve system stability, reduce costs, and increase stakeholder satisfaction.
• Drive best engineering practices, including observability and data quality standards.

Qualifications

To be a successful candidate, you should have:

• At least 3+ years of professional experience in software development or Data Engineering.
• A Bachelor’s degree in business, mathematics, engineering, or science.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Orchestration systems, and Cloud providers.
• Solid data manipulation skills.
• A passion for data with creative problem-solving abilities and an eye for detail.
• A team-oriented mindset, enjoying stepping outside your comfort zone and thinking outside the box.

Nice to have: Familiarity with streaming tools such as Kafka.
