Job Description

The Data Science team is seeking a mid to senior-level Software Engineer to serve as a bridge between the Data Science and Engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in mathematics and experience in C# development.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish coding principles in C# for runtime efficiency and technical scalability.
• Maintain and refactor the Data Science .NET model repository.
• Create, populate and maintain SQL databases.
• Design and implement services as microservices that will be part of a larger application stack.
• Have the capability to understand the underlying mathematics of the pricing models.
• Report to the Director of Data Science on workflow, and share findings with the Data Science team.
• Cooperate closely with other Engineering teams.

Qualifications

Essential

• A postgraduate degree in Computer Science or another quantitative field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with extensive experience in C#.
• Experience with CRUD actions on various data sources (SQL, NO-SQL, streaming, or data-lake).
• Knowledgeable about RESTful APIs and Kafka topics to consume and produce data from .NET microservices.
• Experience with automated build pipelines for .NET.
• Experience with version control platforms (e.g. GitHub, Gitlab, Bitbucket etc.).

Desirable

• Good grasp of various modelling techniques (e.g. Probability Distributions, GLMs, Monte Carlo Simulations, Time-Series Analysis etc.)
• Basic Python skills (e.g. Numpy, Pandas, TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn, Matplotlib, Keras, SciPy etc.).
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• A good understanding of betting concepts and markets.

• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• You must have a strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills.
• You must be self-motivated, a team-player and an innovative thinker.
