Job Description

Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is seeking a part-time, on-call Military Operations Analyst 4 to support the Joint Force Development Research and Analysis for Joint Staff J7(JS J-7) contract at our Suffolk, VA Joint Staff Complex.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze and provide recommendations on military command control and communications, electronic warfare, weapon systems, contingency operations, MTTP, force planning, and training exercises.
  • Coordinate with user community representatives through all development phases including requirements definition, clarification, prioritization, and alternatives.
  • Assess the conduct and results of operational user training, military maneuvers, or simulated wartime operations to maintain force capabilities.
  • Evaluate the relative merits of program designs and alternatives.
  • Incorporate emerging doctrine and tactics from wargames, experimentation, and studies into system design and development.
  • Prepare reports and briefs summarizing support requirements, deficiencies, and program/system investments.
  • Apply extensive technical expertise with comprehensive knowledge of related disciplines.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 9 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree in a related field; 7 years relevant experience with a Master's Degree; 4 years relevant experience with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in a related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance

Physical Requirements

This position may require work in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Applicants must be capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
