Job Description

Team Summary:

The Risk and Identity Solutions (RaIS) team at Visa utilizes advanced machine learning and AI to provide top-tier risk management services. Our Visa Predictive Models (VPM) team is at the forefront of deploying progressive models that are essential to our success. We are currently expanding our Data Engineering and MLOps team, and are seeking engineers passionate about data management, automated processes, and ML/AI tools optimization.

This role offers the opportunity to develop and scale extensive data engineering and ML/AI solutions, significantly contributing to Visa's revenue. Working from our Bangalore office on a hybrid basis, you will be instrumental in the deployment of machine learning models across large data science projects, collaborating with global teams to enhance our technology landscape.

Qualifications

Applicants are expected to have:

• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 6 years with a Master's or Advanced Degree in fields such as computer science, statistics, finance, economics, etc.
• Proven expertise in large-scale data engineering pipeline construction, data-driven decision making, and quantitative analysis.
• Experience with SQL and familiarity with the Hadoop ecosystem and related technologies like Apache Spark, Python, Pandas, etc.

Technical skills:

You should have:

• Strong development abilities in multiple languages including Golang, Java, Python, or Rust.
• Experience developing and executing large-scale ETL processes and efficient Spark pipelines.
• Knowledge in model serving engines like TensorFlow and Triton, and model development frameworks such as MLflow.
• Proficiency in AWS services setup and management, including EC2, S3, and SageMaker.
• Capability in managing data and computing environments, implementing DevOps tools, containerization and virtualization with Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
• Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is advantageous.
