Responsibilities

As an ML Research Scientist specializing in LLM Safety, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading an LLM research domain with a focus on safety, quality, explainability, evaluation, and adversarial attacks.
• Developing novel techniques and research that deliver the world’s safest and most helpful models, directly enabling our customers to deploy responsible LLMs.
• Co-authoring papers, patents, and presentations with our research team.
• Collaborating with engineering, product, and sales teams to deliver state-of-the-art techniques to end customers.
• Leading research projects from start to finish, including generating high-quality synthetic data, training LLMs, and conducting rigorous benchmarking.
• Delivering generalizable, scalable, and reproducible algorithms.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with:

• Deep research domain knowledge in LLM safety techniques.
• Extensive experience in aligning, training, and/or attacking various LLM models and architectures in real-world scenarios.
• Comfort in leading end-to-end projects.
• Adaptability and flexibility to rapidly pivot focus based on new findings in the community.
• The ability to learn, implement, and extend state-of-the-art research.
