Salary Range: $53.52 - $59.18 per hour (As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int 1208-2018)

Position Summary:

Join our team as an MRI Technologist in the Biomedical Imaging Center at Weill Cornell Medicine. Utilize state-of-the-art MRI equipment to ensure accurate diagnosis and assessment of patient conditions under general guidance, adhering strictly to safety and procedural protocols.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the inventory of supplies, equipment, and reagents; participate in cost control and maintenance.
  • Assist both current and new employees with systems, equipment, and adherence to departmental policies.
  • Provide patient care; assist in triaging, preparing for exams, and processing of images and medical documents.
  • Maintain strict protocols to ensure patient safety and sterile environment.
  • Conduct MRI scans, prepare and administer medical substances keeping patient informed throughout the process.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an MRI Technologist.
  • Prior experience as a registered technologist in other radiology modalities beneficial.
  • Graduation from an approved school of radiography preferred.

Required Licenses and Certifications:

  • New York State License in Radiographic Technology (R).
  • ARRT (MR) Certification essential.
  • NYS Intravenous Contrast Administration Certification.
  • BLS Certification, issued by the American Heart Association.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

This role requires lifting equipment and assisting patients occasionally. Flexibility to work during weekends and evenings as needed.
