Job Description

Position Title: Municipal Bond Research Analyst

Position Summary: Engage in comprehensive credit analysis and valuation of public municipal debt issues, contributing directly to our strategic decision-making process.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed qualitative and quantitative research on taxable municipal bond issuers.
  • Monitor existing portfolio securities and provide strategic credit and relative value assessments.
  • Formulate and present informed credit opinions and reports incorporating diverse financial and market data.
  • Analyze offering memoranda to ensure bondholder protections.
  • Collaborate closely with the Real Asset Debt team.
  • Contribute to investment team meetings with research insights.
  • Support Marketing, Client Service, and Operations divisions by analyzing data related to portfolios and accounts.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in taxable municipal bond credit analysis.
  • Robust problem-solving abilities and quantitative skills.
  • Proficiency in Bloomberg, Excel, PowerPoint, and ideally, SQL or Python.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a strong team player.
  • Preference for candidates enrolled in or who have completed the CFA program.
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Expect approximately 10-20% travel as part of your role.
