NCD Backend Engineer at Samsung Electronics

Position Summary

Role and Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities

• Implement backend architecture components, tasks, and services.
• Conduct engineering activities, including projects, research, and operational tests.
• Debug production issues raised by customers and support teams, and work towards a fix.
• Participate in meetings to evaluate, plan, and troubleshoot software and systems.
• Exercise judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining results.
• Develop algorithms, backend automation, and scalability architecture.

Skills andQualifications

Job Experience and Knowledge

• 7-10 years of software development experience in a large-scale production environment.
• Proficient in multiple server-side languages including Typescript, Node.JS, and Python.
• Strong knowledge of backend libraries such as Express, Mongoose, and Axios. Experience with NestJS is a plus.
• Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases including MongoDB, Postgres, DynamoDB, and Elasticsearch.
• Proficiency with AWS Products like EKS, ECR, S3, RDS, IAM, and VPC.
• Proficient with Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong working knowledge of Linux distributions and effective command line usage.
• Knowledge of security best practices, data structures, and algorithms.
• Ability to deliver and accept feedback on code and system design.
• Strong debugging skills for distributed architectures.
• Experience with ML models via AWS Personalize is a plus.
• Experience in Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration pipelines is a plus.
