About the Role

As a Data Scientist Intern, you will collaborate with our Data Science Team, contributing to a wide range of projects with the Sales Planning & Analysis team. You’ll be instrumental in maintaining data quality, creating and updating dataflows using SQL/Redshift/ETL in BI systems, and driving other data-related business initiatives. This role directly reports to the Data Science Senior Manager of Sales Planning and Analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and QA data flows using BI tools.
• Curate accurate and reliable data using company resources.
• Assist in the development of new visualizations and dataflows to resolve business queries.
• Generate ad-hoc reports and analyze confidential information to support team requirements.
• Work alongside Data Scientists to enhance data processing speeds and documentation.
• Engage in analytics to decipher business data, aiding in strategic decision-making and identifying inefficiencies.

Qualifications & Characteristics

• Currently pursuing a BS/BA in Math, Bioinformatics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Hands-on project or internship experience with SQL/Database management or relevant coursework.
• Experience with analytical tools like Python, R, MATLAB, or similar through projects, internships or coursework.
• Knowledge of big data analysis principles.
