Job Description

At Sportradar, we are inviting an NLP/Gen-AI Senior Data Scientist to join our pioneering team. Engage in the design and creation of data-driven sports products and services alongside world-renowned experts. Delve into extensive sport data to construct generative and predictive models that enhance the engagement of sports fans. Collaborate intimately with product owners and technical leads within our Betting Entertainment Tools division, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in sport and betting entertainment.

The Challenge:

• Develop predictive models and applications powered by large language models (LLMs) for our sports-related offerings.
• Conduct rigorous validation of methods, models, and algorithms through historical data back-testing and simulations.
• Innovate with data integration for enhanced product and service quality.
• Forge meaningful insights by merging diverse data sources and formats.
• Facilitate clear communication of ideas and prototypes to software developers and business stakeholders.

Your Profile:

• Proven expertise in machine learning/statistics and big data manipulation, including statistical validation processes.
• Proficient in Python, with a solid grasp of software development best practices.
• Well-versed in SQL and experienced in prompt engineering as well as fine-tuning language models.
• Desirable: Development experience with Java, LLM application creation, and familiarity with frameworks like LangChain or LLamaIndex.
• Knowledge of big data frameworks (e.g., Flink, Spark) and cloud solutions (e.g., AWS S3, Redshift, Athena) is advantageous.
• Eager to stay abreast of trends and advancements in generative AI and large language models.
• A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science / Engineering, Mathematics / Statistics, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
• Fluency in English and a passion for sports.
• An autonomous, meticulous, creative, and collaborative work ethic is essential.
