The Amazon Corporate Security Business Assurance Center (BAC) is seeking a dedicated and motivated Business Intelligence Operations Manager to develop and direct our business intelligence (BI) strategy. This individual will execute this strategy in collaboration with our vendor BI team, offering technological expertise to ensure all BI products meet the highest standards.

The successful candidate for the Business Intelligence Operations Manager role will use their professional experience to propose and create substantial and scalable solutions, providing guidance and support to the BAC’s BI team, enhancing their skills and knowledge about our BI architecture and suggesting optimal solutions.
This role requires the selected candidate to be capable of identifying smart solutions for challenging and sometimes ambiguous problems, which will directly inform decisions made by various BAC teams. The successful candidate will design solutions that are as simple as possible regarding design, implementation, and communication to non-data conversant BAC colleagues and BAC customers. The Business Intelligence Operations Manager’s work will directly contribute to the BAC’s strategic and performance-related documentation, including monthly and quarterly business reviews, and will be expected to clearly explain the methodology used and the reasoning behind it.
Here are the key job responsibilities:
- Lead the charge for technical solutions to the BAC’s complex business problems.
- Develop, maintain, and iterate self-service tools that support BAC business needs.
- Implement and support cloud-based database solutions, including S3 and Redshift.
- Contribute expertise in advanced statistical techniques and their applications.
- Create solutions that are easily used by customers and scalable to the BAC’s global needs.
- Clearly communicate about the rationale for technical decisions.
- Support the BAC’s community of practice and interest regarding analytics.

Basic Qualifications:
- 7+ years of business intelligence and analytics experience.
- 5+ years of result-oriented management experience in a business intelligence or analytics team.
- Experience with SQL and ETL.
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
- Experience with R, Python, Weka, SAS, Matlab or other statistical/machine learning software.
- Experience in collaborating with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience working with large data warehousing environment.
- 8+ years of experience in data warehouse technical architectures, data modeling.

The base pay for this position ranges from $114,700/year to $223,100/year, depending on the job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
