Job Description

As an Operations Research Engineer at Intel, you will be tasked with designing, developing, and implementing sophisticated mathematical and simulation models to solve intricate problems in manufacturing and supply chain environments. Your efforts will focus on optimizing factory performance, equipment efficiency, and network distribution, ensuring Intel remains at the forefront of the semiconductor industry.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Management Science, or a related field, plus at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • PhD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Management Science, or related field, coupled with 1 or more years of relevant experience.

Technical Expertise

Successful candidates should possess expertise in:

  • Programming in CSharp and familiarity with optimization and programming tools such as ILOG CPLEX, Gurobi, and Autosched.
  • Robust database management skills with platforms like SQL Server.
  • Proven ability in deterministic modeling, analytics, and complex programming.
  • Deep understanding of Operations Research, including Linear and Integer Programming, as well as Constraint Programming.

Preferred Qualifications

We value additional experience in:

  • Semiconductor manufacturing and scheduling.
  • Discrete Event Simulation, Simulated Annealing, Meta Heuristics, and Evolutionary Algorithms.

Employment Details

This is an Experienced Hire position, requiring work on Shift 1 (India). Successful candidates will be a part of a versatile team located in Bangalore, with additional location options in Malaysia, Penang.
