About the Position

As a Partner Research Scientist, you will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge AI technologies to solve complex problems affecting global communities. Your role involves deep technological work, strategic collaborations with global leaders from academia, NGOs, and government agencies, and leading high-impact research projects with the potential to revolutionize sectors and empower societies.

Key Responsibilities

• Advance research in AI, machine learning, and related fields to create innovative solutions for societal issues.
• Collaborate with internal Microsoft teams to integrate AI technologies into various products and services.
• Establish and nurture partnerships with academic, non-profit, and government organisations to foster knowledge exchange and implement solutions.
• Lead and mentor a talented team of researchers and engineers.
• Champion the use of AI for social good, through regular publications, presentations, and advocacy activities.

What We Need From You

Required Qualifications:

• Doctorate in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related fields.
• At least 5 years of AI research experience, preferably with applications aimed at social good.

• 10+ years of AI research experience and 7+ years in people management.
• A passion for ethical AI development and a track record of leading diverse, international teams.
• Experience with Azure or similar cloud platforms; familiarity with Microsoft's AI toolkit.

Salary and Benefits

The expected salary range for this role covers USD $198,400 - $323,500 annually, varying by location with higher ranges applicable in specific metropolitan areas. Visit our for more details.
