Join the esteemed People Insights team at HP as a seasoned BI Developer. This pivotal role involves supporting the design, build, and development of advanced analytics products and solutions. Your expertise in BI development will be crucial for crafting analytics products through data modeling, building measures & calculations, visualization configuration, data deployment, diagnostics, and BI performance measurement. This position also requires creating solutions that integrate Microsoft Power Platform & Microsoft Fabric for enhanced alerting, notifications, and data orchestration functionality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and create reporting, analytics, and data orchestration functionalities using applications like Microsoft Product Stack (Azure, PowerBI), Databricks, Altyryx, Amazon Redshift, etc.
  • Establish connectivity and enablement between back-end databases and front-end solutions via ODBC, WebConnector (RaaS), or API development.
  • Support maintenance and development of a centralized dimensional data model for HP's core workforce data.
  • Analyze source system data, develop ETL packages with tools such as SSIS/Power Query.
  • Connect and operationalize disparate people data models from various organizational sources.
  • Conduct regular and ongoing product and gateway QC testing throughout the development cycle.
  • Convert technical requirements into product outputs, features, and user experiences.
  • Participate in ongoing design and development sessions for the analytics product.
  • Build, maintain, and document a centralized calculation library (Calculation Language: DAX).
  • Create and maintain documentation for data orchestration specifically in support of BI Development.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in data warehousing and business intelligence within large complex global organizations.
  • 5-10 years of experience with Business Intelligence tools and technology, focusing on data orchestration and dimensional modeling.
  • Proficient in implementing solutions using the full Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Highly skilled in DAX or equivalent languages, for complex calculations and measures.
  • Exposure to Python, R, SQL for statistical analytics, data querying, and process enhancement.
  • Experience with complex data models for People Insights/Analytics.
  • Bachelor’s/Graduate degree in data science, computer science, information systems, finance, statistics, or a related field.
