About the Role
What We Are Looking For
As a Policy Manager at Credo AI, you will be part of a dedicated Policy Team responsible for developing the overarching policy strategy and philosophy for Credo AI. You will work to better inform policymakers by incorporating quality insights from the AI research community and informing product development through your policy expertise.
The Policy Manager will report to the Global Policy Director and will be responsible for:
- Finding, understanding, analyzing, and explaining AI policies and operationalizing compliance for key regulations.
- Building and advancing multi-stakeholder relationships and partnerships in the European Union.
- Tracking, developing, and analyzing policy proposals and legislative activities.
- Preparing drafts of advocacy materials and policy papers for various stakeholders.
- Supporting the development and maintenance of policymaker coalitions.
- Monitoring and analyzing legislative and executive actions related to AI across the EU.
- Utilizing your connections and network to engage decision-makers and key stakeholders.
Our Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in policy analysis in artificial intelligence, data science, and cybersecurity. You will be a partner to other Policy and Product team members in devising effective approaches to monitor, track, and analyze relevant efforts, focusing on operationalizing policy with Credo AI’s Product team. A robust policy network and connections to coalition members, regulatory bodies, and EU policymakers are essential.

Expectations
Academic Background:
- Required: Undergraduate or graduate degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, International Affairs, Political Science, Economics, or Law.
- Preferred: Familiarity with computer science, data science, IT, information science, software engineering, computer engineering, or cybersecurity.
Professional Background:
- Required: 5+ years of experience in qualitative and/or quantitative policy analysis, in-depth knowledge of AI and Data Science Policy, project management experience, and EU government relations experience.
- Preferred: Experience with the European Commission/Parliament/Council, familiarity with the EU legislative process, and knowledge of ISO, ETSI, CEN/CENELEC, OECD, UN, and NATO processes.
Tools/Experience:
- Experience with data management and analysis tools, communication networks, and, preferably, tools like Slack and G-Suite.
