Responsibilities

This is a limited-term position lasting up to three years, with the possibility of renewal each year.

As a Post-Doctoral Researcher in our Data Analytics department, you'll be instrumental in translating business needs into analytical solutions. You'll interpret analytics for business applications and leverage cutting-edge technologies to deliver artificial intelligence solutions. You'll have the opportunity to engage in top-notch research focused on loss prevention.

You'll collaborate with a leading-edge team of data and analytics professionals and work closely with various departments, including operations, innovation, business technology transformation, underwriting, and engineering. You'll harness your creativity and utilize a broad spectrum of techniques and tools.

The projects you'll work on will be interesting, exciting, and challenging, directly contributing to the advancement of FM Global's mission and goals through data science.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have completed all Ph.D. requirements in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas are required:

• Generalized Linear Models
• Machine Learning Model Interpretation
• Causal Inference
• Experiment Design and Hypothesis Testing
• Simulation
• Deterministic and Probabilistic Operations Research
• Multi-Criteria Decision Making
• Transfer Learning

Candidates must also have advanced programming skills with modern languages, including but not limited to R and Python, and hands-on experience in predictive or prescriptive analytics projects.

Compensation, grade, and job title will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and technical skillset.
