Postdoctoral Fellow in Artificial Intelligence (AI) - Noblis

Job Responsibilities

As a Postdoctoral Fellow, you will:

• Evaluate, design, and develop complex algorithms for various technology and mission domains.
• Advance responsible AI strategies by developing techniques to assess model robustness, counter bias, and determine system risks.
• Propose, design, and build AI systems for computer vision, complex simulations, and generative content across different use cases.
• Perform lab-based experiments and stay updated with the latest advances in AI, including deep learning (CNNs/RNNs), GANs, and workflow automation.
• Actively participate in scientific symposia, conferences, and professional societies while contributing to grants, proposals, and white papers.
• Adhere to and enhance Noblis' responsible AI framework and ethical principles.
• Work both autonomously and as part of a team with a collegial attitude.

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Information/Data Sciences, or a related field granted within the last five years.
• Extensive experience and/or education in deep learning algorithms, model algorithm selection and development, NLP, multimedia processing, and computer vision.
• Strong publication record and a high interest in publishing new research papers.
• Proficiency in coding languages such as Python or R.
• Ability to explain deep technical concepts to non-experts.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Capability to propose and secure independent research funding is a plus.
• High ethical and scientific standards.
• U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearance.

Desired Qualifications

Professional affiliations with organizations like the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) are a plus.
