Key Responsibilities

Dashboard Development and Maintenance:

Scope & Design: Lead the conceptualisation and design phases for new Power BI dashboards, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Deployment: Implement high-quality Power BI dashboards, sourcing data from our state-of-the-art data Lakehouse platform.

Optimisation: Periodically review and enhance dashboard performance, promoting swift data access and a user-friendly experience.

Ownership: Take responsibility for our global dashboard suite, ensuring ongoing relevance, precision, and alignment with dynamic business needs.

Collaboration: Engage with analysts across different departments to enhance and support operational dashboards, sharing best practices and consolidating feedback.

Data Modelling & Understanding:

Data Modelling: Develop and fine-tune data models within Power BI, crafting efficient, scalable, and user-responsive dashboards.

Data Integrity: Collaborate with data engineering and master data teams to guarantee dashboard data's precision and timeliness.

Data Comprehension: Maintain a profound understanding of the underlying data's structure and business implications to ensure accurate and relevant visualisations.

Feedback Loop: Regularly collect user feedback on dashboard usability and data representation, refining based on this input.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Requirement Gathering: Engage with key stakeholders to capture detailed dashboard requirements, ensuring user-centric design.

Training & Support: Deliver training sessions for various teams on dashboard utilisation and interpretation, fostering a data-driven culture.

Integration: Cultivate a synergistic relationship with data engineering, master data teams, and other relevant departments, ensuring integrated and accurate data representation.

Documentation: Produce and uphold comprehensive documentation for all dashboards, outlining data sources, transformations, and visualisation techniques.

Requirements

Who You Are:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.

Desired Experience:

At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Power BI dashboard development.

Solid SQL skills with capability in crafting and optimising queries.

Advanced proficiency in Data Analysis Expressions (DAX).

Acquaintance with report design principles and best practices.

Strong grasp of data modelling and transformation techniques within Power BI.

Experience in working with large datasets and knowledge of optimisation methods for effective data access and representation.

Exposure to Databricks or comparable platforms.

Experience in building PowerApps or akin applications.

Aptitude for integrating Python/R scripts within Power BI to bolster analytical functionalities.

Familiarity with Power BI Service's facets, including data gateways, refresh configurations, and user permissions.

9 Day Fortnight – A flexible working pattern where employees can opt to work their contractual hours across 9 days instead of 10 days, gaining an extra day off every fortnight. (For example, work 80 hours across 9 days instead of 10 days).
