The basic feature of Power BI lies in its high-quality data. 3Cloud is eagerly searching for consultants who specialize in Power BI with an emphasis on data. You should have in-depth knowledge of Power BI and its data-related components including Power Query/M, DAX, and dimensional modeling. Familiarity and experience with basic report design and a practical understanding of traditional SQL Server (data warehouse design, SSIS, SSRS) and Direct Query will be advantageous. You should also have insights into the Power BI License models and be able to assist customers in achieving the most beneficial licensing model for their business needs. Strong communication skills are essential to interact effectively with clients, their employees, and specialists in related fields such as database developers and software engineers. Your superior analytical and problem-solving skills, a good understanding of both the technical and business aspects of business intelligence, along with your ability to stay current with the latest updates for Power BI would make you a great candidate for this role. Responsibilities

Conduct discovery meetings with clients to ascertain reporting requirements
Understand and assist customers with Power BI Licensing, getting to know the limitations and benefits of each licensing platform
Design efficient star schema data models for use with Power BI, including relevant calculated columns and measures
Create Power BI solutions for clients including importing data from multiple sources, building reports and dashboards, and generating appropriate data elements using DAX and source queries
Guide clients on deploying Power BI solutions to the Power BI service (Gateways, DirectQuery, DataFlows, Data Updates)
Estimate and plan work for large technical solutions
Create Power BI governance solutions to support different self-service Business Intelligence models for clients
Optimize tabular models and Power BI report performance
Experience in deploying and designing Power BI solutions using Power BI Embedded
Develop relationships with clients to uncover future analytic needs

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science or a related field; or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience working with data and business intelligence solutions on the Microsoft tool stack for Business Intelligence (SSRS, Power BI, or PowerPivot (Excel) or PerformancePoint), or other vendor Business Intelligence tools (Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Qlik, SAP)
Expertise in TSQL, data modeling, reporting using Power BI or other Microsoft tools
Experience in creating complete Power BI report solutions based on business queries with linked content, drilldowns, and nested parameters
Knowledge of data mashups and transformations using Power Query/M language
Ability to report visual choices and visual interactions
Design, develop and implement user interfaces to ensure usability and requiring minimal knowledge by the functional work group that will be using the database
Ability to gather requirements and conduct focus groups to determine the needed processes to assist and grow the business

Additional Preferred Experience:

Expertise in Power BI tenant and workspace management for supporting development, testing and deployment
Experience with analytics and custom visualizations for Power BI using Python, R
Proficiency in advanced SQL including query tuning
Experience in identifying data quality
Experience in deploying Power BI solutions to the Power BI Report Server (on-premises)
Experience in deploying cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure data services including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL DB
