Job Description

We are seeking a BI Specialist to work for one of our clients, an EU Institution based in Brussels.

Your primary duties will include:

• Developing new BI dashboards and performing evaluative/corrective maintenance on the existing ones, based on change requests received through the Change Advisory Board and the schedule.
• Analyzing data sources, identifying relevant data, and developing data models for reporting.
• Designing and producing visually attractive and interactive dashboards, reports using Power BI's tools.
• Making customized reports to meet stakeholder needs. 

Qualifications

If you possess:

• A Master's degree + 10 years of experience as a Power BI Specialist or a similar role OR a Bachelor's degree + 14 years of experience.
• Practical knowledge of data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Power BI, Kibana, QuickSight, DAX Query, SQL, Python, M Query Language, Power Query).
• Power BI Data modelling and skills with demonstrable on-premise and cloud experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of Power BI report performance optimization techniques (e.g., query folding, optimizing visuals, reducing data models).
• Familiarity with Power BI Administration, such as gateways, user/report access, and workspaces.
• Understanding of different sources integration into Power BI (including relational DBs, JSON format, website analytics).
• Experience with GitLab or similar version control software.
• Strong analytical abilities with the capability to translate intricate data into visualization for better decision-making.
• Good communication skills, and a very good command of English.
