Job Description

The Power BI Developer will convert business and technical needs into high-value Power BI data visualizations and reports. The candidate will work directly with product owners and data analysts to understand BI requirements and metadata. They will connect to data sources, import, and transform data to meet client Business Intelligence needs.

The expected salary range for this position is from $75K to $110K per year (USD). The final offered will usually fall within this range and is determined by factors like the individual's unique combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, together with internal pay equity, location, contract-specific affordability, and other organizational needs.

MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ONSITE IN DC (MON-FRI)

Required Skills

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Information Technology, including 5 years specializing in business intelligence and Microsoft Power BI Development.
  • Robust knowledge of Data Analytics, Data Visualization, and experience with Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Comprehensive understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data transformation techniques
  • Ability to write complex SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation
  • Familiar with data governance and security principles within Power BI, as well as with Data Gateways
  • Experience in writing DAX expressions and conducting data calculations within PowerBI

Desirable Skills

  • Microsoft certifications, especially as a Power BI Data Analyst Associate or similar business intelligence certifications
  • Public Trust Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship
