Exciting Career Opportunity: Lead Data Scientist - Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence

Job Description

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Scientist to spearhead innovative projects involving state-of-the-art machine learning and artificial intelligence. This role will involve:

  • Researching and designing end-to-end systems, reusable libraries, and components.
  • Leading a team of data scientists working on multiple natural language processing (NLP) products.
  • Defining goals, priorities, and development opportunities.
  • Planning and managing projects, including design vision and resource allocation.
  • Advising on strategic investments in third-party solutions.
  • Conducting evaluations of vendor solutions for cutting-edge machine learning and AI applications.
  • Advising product teams on timelines and innovation opportunities for NLP integration.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to identify machine learning applications for business problems.
  • Communicating project plans and key results with stakeholders.
  • Overseeing production deployment with technology teams.
  • Co-leading internship hiring and conducting hiring interviews for NLP and speech teams.

Qualifications

Minimum education and experience required:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, plus 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in the aforementioned fields, plus 6 years of relevant experience.

Skills Required:

  • 4 years experience with Python programming and deep learning architectures, including DNNs, RNNs, CNNs, and transformers.
  • Experience with machine learning and NLP packages like Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, NumPy, SciPy, SpaCy, Gensim, NLTK, and Transformers.
  • 2 years experience in Linear Algebra and Statistics.
  • 1 year experience with basic table operations in SQL and Elasticsearch.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary: $260,000 - $325,000 per year.
